This one hits home a little more than usual because I tend to use that exact “line” with people when I’m making small talk in sales. There is a very real element of truth in it, which is what makes it so fun for the customers (if they’re receptive!) when they see how I genuinely would rather sell to them…because if they don’t need my help, someone in power will probably put me to work cleaning something! Electronics stores do get so very dusty…
